1999 - BEO :: Innsbruck Area (AUT)

The first Burton European Open took place in resorts around Innsbruck, Austria, home-town of Burton Europe. The Seegrube, with it’s amazing view over Innsbruck and home-mountain to all Innsbruck locals, hosted the first Jam Session with local hero Sani Alibabic coming in First. Sani, a Burton Team rider since over 10 years, left the resort as the winner of the very first BEO.

The BEO Halfpipe Competition took place in Axamer Lizum, one of the closest resort to Innsbruck and saw Swiss rider Therry Brunner and Canadian Burton rider Natasza Zurek take the top spots in the first-ever BEO halfpipe of the event.
